BismillahirRahmanirRahim
We begin by praising Allah and sending blessings upon He chosen messenger. All praise is to Allah, through Whose Grace all rightsousness is completed. May mercy and peace be upon the most virtuous of all creatures, the one who said, "I am the highest ranking son of Adam (a.s.), which I say without boasting", and mecy also be upon his family, his companions and followers till the day of reckoning. Amin.
'Verily Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe! Send blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.’ (Q. 33:56)
"Allahuma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammadin wa sallim". O Allah! Bless Muhammad (saw) and the family of Muhammad (saw) and grant them peace.
Abu Huraira (r.) reports that RasulAllah (saw) said "whoso ever recites salaat (ie salutations & blessings) on me once, on him shall Allah recite salaaat ten times". (Muslim, Abu Dawood & Ibn Hibbaan..)
"Remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me, and reject not faith" (Q. 2:152)
In this same manner the one salaat upon the prophet (saw) from us calls forth ten salaat from Allah. According to a hadith in 'Targheeb', related by Abdullah ibn Amr (r.), RasulAllah (saw) said, "whoever recites salaat on RasulAllah (saw) once, Allah and His angels bestow upon him seventy salaat".
Abu Talha (r.) reports "One day the face of RasulAllah (saw) was shining with extreme pleasure. The companions then enquired, O Messenger of Allah the pleasure that is seen on your face this day has never ever been seen before this. RasulAllah (saw) replied. Why should I not be pleased and happy. Jibra'eel (as) has just left me, having said, whoever of your nation recites salaat on you once, Allah shall write down for him the reward of ten righteous deeds, forgive ten sins and raise him ten times in rank, and one angel shall say about him as he had said'. RasulAllah (saw) continued, I asked Jibra'eel (as) about this angel and he said, Allah appoints an angel who (when hearing someone reciting salaat) says until the Day of Judgement, "And you too, may Allah grant mercy to you". (Targheeb)
Aysha (ra.) reports that RasulAllah (saw) said, "whenever any of the servants of Allah recites salaat on me, an angel ascends with it to present it in Allah's court before the most Merciful Allah. Then our Sustainer, Most Blessed and High says, 'Proceed with it from here to the grave of my servant (Muhammad (saw)) who shall beg forgiveness for the reciter thereof and in this salaat, shall be the refreshment of his eyes' ". (Abu Ali bin Al Banna & Dailami)
Anas (r.) reports that the Rasul (saw) said, "Whoever recites salaat on me on Friday, or on the eve of Friday, for him shall Allah fulfill one hundred of his needs, and Allah appoints an angel who conveys those salawaat to me in my grave in the same manner as you people have gifts presented to you".
In 'Zaadus Sa'eed' there is a hadith from 'Mawaahib Ladunniya', "On the Day of Judgement a believer will find his righteous deeds had diminished (to such an extent he will have very little left at the time when deeds will be weighed). Then RasulAllah (saw) will produce a piece of paper the size of the tip of one's finger. He will place this on the scale on the side of the righteous deeds and that side will weigh heaviest. The beliver seeing that will say, 'may my parents be sacrificed for you, who are you? How beautiful your form and character is!' RasulAllah (saw) will answer, I am your Nabi, and this paper is the salaat which you have recited on me, and now at the time of your greatest need I am repaying you' ".
